The regional parties of AIT have been initiated by the popularly called Jat-Party. The welcome treat to the students of AIT who natively belong to Haryana and Rajasthan came to a huge success. The JAT alumni were also invited. The party also invited few of the non-Jat party BE's. After the grand JAM session, and dinner, the students returned back to college campus in time. As customary, such regional parties are organised twice a year. The other will be organised next semester in honor of BE's for their farewell.
To be noted, that such parties like JAT party, Punjab Party, Bihar Party, Pahadi party etc. are no-where related or promote any kind of communalism. In fact, the seniors specially lay emphasis and welcome the intermingling of different sections of the society, not forgetting that the parents of all AIT students are engaged (or have been, at some stage of their life) in service to the nation, our motherland, the India.
