AIT Feet-tappers – dancing to win

Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is everything.”
It was with such a thought that our choreo team headed towards IIM-Indore. With a whole lot of
determination and enthusiasm, 13 AITians lead by Mr. Rawat, BE Comp reached Indore.
AIT’s  1st event ‘MUDRA’ was to occur the same evening when they reached, a dance in such a way that
they can put forward some social cause. Choosing a social problem terrorism, AIT had to compete with 12
other teams like Sri Venkateshwara college from Delhi, IIM-I itself n few others. Though AIT didn’t have
many props but stunned the audience with use of UV lights in the sequences. The HUM DUM boys now by
the name of Feettappers made their own mark. While teams had showcased themes like national unity, 9
dance forms of India, racist attack in Australia etc and the 1st prize (worth RS 30000/-) was won by AIT.

Next day, under ‘STREET FREAK’, only 5 to 7 team members were allowed per team, so AITians did split
into two teams. Team led by Mr Rawat (BE Comp) came 1st and team led by Abhishek (SE E&TC) came
3rd. 1st prize got INR 8,000/-.

Under solo dance, again Mr. Rawat was the representative from AIT. There were 15 participants in the final round, but all the eyes were waiting for the lead dancer from Feettappers group. His lyrical hip-hop on the track ‘kahin toh hogi woh’ made even the judges come off their seat. After such an appreciation by the judges there was no doubt about his 1st prize (worth Rs 5000/-). He proved that there is no match to the Feettappers from AIT. Judges even gave him suggestion that he should trying given auditions in dance competitions like DID. So we wish to see him there soon.

The Feet-tappers from AIT composed of following members:

Vikas Singh Rawat, Gary Rohan Singh, Rajdeep Kathait, Anil Sahrawat, Aditya Yadav, Vipin Pal Bisht, Ashish Sheoran, Abhishek Singh, Guarav Negi, Manish Bhatt, Atul Tripathi and Anirudh Kaushik
