Yesterday evening, at about 5 PM, a lot of SEs and TEs from the entire hostel accumulated in front of the office of Hostel's rector. They requested to Mr. Roderigues to forward the response of students towards the room-allotment-rules for next semester.
The boys in a very decent tone, told that they are unhappy with these new rules. The students are being discriminated on behalf of their marks and thus, all the flanks are being made in the same color.
These gentlemen also raised the point that such a mechanism will further degrade the education quality when they will be forced to live entire year away from their close mates and friends. In addition, this will also create a complex among the low marks students.
Mr. Roderigues took the feedback with a very cool and open mind and advised to bring the issue in front of the administration with few representatives among students themselves. He consoled that when he will be asked his opinion regarding the same, he will support the students.
Fun fact: To be noted that last semester also, the batch system was made on behalf of the marks which was later on restored to the previous method of roll numbers. Many students point out that the changing of batches affected more subject-downs that semester. By the way, it is very clear that the administration is trying to get the best out of the students by experimenting hit-and-trial methods. Let's see how far these methods go.
