XP v/s 7 clash: College Wi-Fi IPs to be alotted again

After the drawback of Windows 7 in which, the Wi-Fi secret 36 character key can be made visible just by a simple click on "show characters", the computers department realotted the IPs with the old Physical addresses but with different server address and different security key.

This time, the staff is providing the connections only to those who either have laptops with Windows XP, or Wi-Fi enabled mobile sets. Hence, the students, who already had a connection, but in OS of Vista or Seven, have to contact the IP providing staff again. Regarding the systems with Linux, the news has not yet been confirmed, if they will be allowed to have connection or not.

The users having the latest models of laptops are complaining that they don't have XP and neither their computers are XP compatible. In other sense, they need to edit their BIOS setting against the recommendations of the Laptop vendor companies to make their computers XP compatible, or use VM ware instead of removing their latest OS.
